Strings are available in a range of diameters and constructions.
At the thick end of the range are strings designed for use with Real Tennis and Racquets frames with typical diameters of 1.65mm – 1.8mm.
Strings for Tennis frames have diameters typically 1.41mm – 1.06mm.
Strings for Squash frames are typically in the range of 1.20mm – 1.06mm.
Badminton strings are the thinnest and typically range from 0.75mm – 0.60mm.
Two identical frames strung with different gauge but otherwise identical string will result in the THINNER GAUGE having a HIGHER HARMONIC PITCH - (“PING”)
